What personal information Pacific Mail & Parcel handles, why, and how we look after it under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Last updated: November 2026
We deliver for pharmacies, clinics and other businesses. Each delivery involves a little personal information — mostly the name and address of the person receiving it. This page sets out what we collect, what we do with it, who sees it and what you can ask of us.
1. Who this policy is from
Pacific Mail & Parcel (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information described here and handles it in line with PIPEDA and any provincial privacy law that applies.
2. Who it covers
Recipients of the packages we deliver, staff of the pharmacies and businesses we work for, visitors to pacificmailandparcel.com, and people who apply to drive for us — whether we receive the information through this website, a customer portal account, email or the phone.
3. What we collect
About recipients, given to us by the sender:
- Name
- Delivery address
- Phone number
- Handling notes, for example that a package must stay cold or needs a signature
We don’t need to know what medication or condition a delivery relates to, and we ask senders not to tell us more than a safe delivery requires.
About each delivery: the times it was booked, collected and delivered, who handed it over, who received it, their signature or a proof-of-delivery photo, and the reason if it couldn’t be completed.
About our customers: business name, contact people, addresses, pickup times and delivery preferences.
From this website: what you type into our forms, cookie-free visit statistics that don’t identify you, and — only if you accept cookies — Google analytics and advertising cookies.
4. Why we use it
- To collect, carry and hand over each package
- To show senders and recipients where a package is
- To give our customers the delivery records they need for their own files, audits and monthly log sheets
- To reply to a message, demo request or driving application
- To plan better routes and fix problems
5. Who we share it with
Only the people who need it for the delivery:
- The sender — the pharmacy or business that booked the delivery
- The driver carrying it — and only the details needed to deliver
- Companies that run our systems, such as hosting, bound by contract to protect it
- Authorities, when the law requires us to
We do not sell personal information. Our public tracking page shows a package’s progress and city, and never a name or an address.
6. How we protect it
Each person on our team sees only what their role needs. Our website and portals use encrypted connections, signatures and delivery photos are stored privately, and everyone who handles deliveries is told how to treat personal information.
7. How long we keep it
Delivery records are kept as long as our customers need them to meet their own record-keeping duties. After that they are deleted or anonymised securely.
8. Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. If you received a delivery, you can also ask the business that sent it. We reply within 30 days.
9. Updates
When our services or the law change, this policy may change too. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
